I asked Mr. Dwyer to unblock You Tube because Weebly won't let me upload the video on here.
Watch only parts 4:45-6:45 of this video; then you will film a similar scene, but you can decide as a class what kind of scene for fake "finger fire" and "blood" to act out. Not everyone needs to be in the video, but at least 2 of you need to be in it to be the finger shooter and the victim.
Choose a scene/storyline that isn't eerie or inappropriate like a school shooting--come up with something silly / light hearted instead.
After filming, upload the files to each of your folders, then re-watch the video as often as you need to until you can get the editing/effects done.
**if You Tube isn't unblocked, I also uploaded it to Schoology under Courses > Digital Media > "Updates"

If you are done with the last couple days' assignments, this is the new one for today (Precise Clip Masks)
1. Card Deck Masking assignment
-Here my tips that the guy does not give in his tutorial that will save you time:
-BRUSH SIZE: To increase the size of your masking brush or eraser brush: just use your left & right brackets! Don't bother using the slider like he does, it takes way more time.
-ZOOM IN/OUT: again, don't use the slider. Just use Ctrl+ or Ctrl-, or use Ctrl 0 (zero) to zoom back to 100%
-PANNING: Once you are zoomed in, in order to pan around easily and quickly, just hold down the Space Bar and click with your mouse. You'll see a hand icon show up, which means you can pan around quickly. Just keep holding the spacebar while moving your mouse then release. Much
simpler than the method he used.
-ROTATE/FLIP/SIZE UP/DOWN: Use Ctrl T, it's quicker than using the scale tool.
-ALT+CLICK+DRAG. Don't use this method to copy. Just do Ctrl C, way easier.
-Today I want you to complete the 3 tutorials on his site, and do the tutorials along with him.
-First watch the Fireworks Masking tutorial, and complete this exercise along with him. The files that you need are on his site. Upload the first
completed tutorial to Schoology.
-Then watch the Face Card Creation Process tutorial, and again, complete along with him. Upload the 2nd exercise to Schoology when completed.
-Finally watch the tutorial on how to make the back of the card by using a pattern fill. Upload this completed 3rd tutorial to Schoology. Yours should be just like his, NOT your own!
-Tomorrow you will read through the site of instructions and look at examples of former student projects, then start your own deck/theme!
